Petersfield Lions Club is one of many thousands of Clubs worldwide. Over a million and a half men and women share the object of service without personal gain.

At Petersfield, a small Club, we raise about £5000 pa (mainly for local causes). We also give our labour and expertise when needed.  For our latest exploits click the "What's New" button.

Each year we collect old spectacles from all the 50 plus Lions Clubs in our District and transport them to a depot for onwards transmission to the third world. This collection (known as Spectrek) has been going on for 27 years and we are well on the way to picking up 2 million pairs. These spectacles are an important resource in the Lions International ongoing campaign against blindness.

We also run/attend fetes, bookstalls, run quizzes or ,indeed, use any means available to raise money.

Locally our money has been used to support people from all over our community. The only criteria is need. If you want to see what we've done with the money in recent years click on "What we do with the money".

When we meet

We meet first and third TUESDAYS in the Red Lion, College Street (opposite the War Memorial). Click on the "Calendar" button. If you would like to come and see us. Please drop an email (Click on the "Contact Us" button) and come along.

A Flavour of Our Town

Petersfield's Flag

(In 2009 Petersfield became the first town in England (as distinct from a local authority Council) to adopt its own flag)

The top picture is of our Town Square, with the old equestrian statue of William III, where a twice weekly market takes place. The other picture is of the pond (5 acres!!) at the Petersfield Heath. The heath is a much valued beautiful green space (80 acres) in the centre of the Town.
