SpecTrek 2017

This year's SpecTrek collected over 120,000 spectacles from the Lions Clubs in 105D (South of England), taking us over the 3 Million mark. SpecTrek is the spectacle recycling collection event first started in 1982. Petersfield Lions organise vans to collect boxed up Spectacles, which have been collected over the last year, from Lions Clubs around 105D and transported to a storage point in Midhurst. These are then subsequently sorted and graded by Midhurst and Chichester Lions before being forwarded to France for distribution to 3rd world countries and elsewhere, where there is a need.

Petersfield Lions would like to thank LMC Van Hire, Bordon, A1 Security, Petersfield, Age Concern Petersfield and Portsmouth Lions for the use of their vans for this collection.
